Today was Jackelope's Big day- his second birthday. We had a fun celebration after everyone got home when Jack got to go in the hot tub for the first time- toned down to a comfy 96 degrees. Here he is on his way out with Daddy to the tub...
But then he eased in and really enjoyed it and loved sticking his arms in the cold pool, as cousin Grayson calls it.
We had a small lemon cake after dinner- ever heard of a child who doesn't want his birthday cake? Well, here he is.
We tried...
and we tried...
and we tried. But he would have none of it. Oh well. He still had a great day and, I swear, he grew overnight. But he (and Daddy) were tuckered by day's end and have fallen asleep in the rocker in his room as I type this. Sweet dreams, my jackelope.
Judy, this picture is for you to see the chandelier.

No cake! He must not be related to us.

Happy Birthday Jackelope! I can't wait to play with you in the big, salty, freezing cold pool in Maine in a few months!

I can not believe how big you have gotten Jack! I feel like last week you were still a small baby, now you are such a grown up! I love the picture of you in the beautiful flowers. Mommy and Daddy have such green thumbs! I am looking forward to playing with you when I come to visit next month. Kate got a new swim suit, so we can all go swimming in the pool. Hugs and kisses! - Colleen
