Toddler Heaven

On Sunday, we took Jack to see Sesame Street Live. Jack watches Seasame Street every day after school while we prepare dinner, so we were sure this would be a big hit. So it surprised us when the show started and Jack stared for a bit and then scooched over next to me, clenched my arm tight and developed the pouty mouth look. My instinct is that the characters from SS suddenly leaping from the television into life-size dancing on the stage in front of him freaked him out just a bit. So we calmly watched for the first few numbers. Then John got him on his lap and started getting him to sing and clap with the numbers. Suddenly, the fear disappeared and Jack realized "Holy smokes, Big Bird and Ernie are dancing right before my eyes in person. How did I never see this before?"
